Pentecost Celebration and Pitch-In
We will celebrate Pentecost at both services on May 20, and we'll have a pitch-in lunch during coffee hour after the 10 a.m. service. Please see the newsletter to find out how to sign up to bring a dish for the lunch. Be sure to come and enjoy our Pentecost celebration on May 20.

Church Work Day
We'll be sprucing up the flower beds around the church and in the Memorial Garden on Saturday, May 5. The work starts at 9 a.m. and lunch will be provided. We'll also be cleaning out gutters, so please bring gloves if you'd like to help with that task. If you can't come for the whole time, feel free to come when you can. All help will be appreciated!
Last Day of Sunday School and Awards
The last day of Sunday School will be May 20. We'll have some water fun that morning, so Sunday School youth should come prepared to get wet! Be sure to bring a towel! At the end of the 10 a.m service that morning, we'll recognize all Sunday School attendees and give out campership awards.
You are invited to come to church on Saturday, May 5 at 5:30 p.m. for our Healing Service. The service includes healing of mind, body, and spirit through laying on of hands, prayers, and annointing with holy oil. Holy Eucharist will also be celebrated at this peaceful service.
Shipwrecked Community VBS Coming in June
Our church, Danville Christian Church, and Danville United Methodist Church are sponsoring community VBS from Sunday, June 10 to Thursday, June 14. The theme is Shipwrecked, and is a free event for children ages 4 and up. The fun starts at 6 p.m. and goes until 8:30 p.m. each evening, and includes a free dinner for all the participants. On Friday, June 15, there will be a pool party that evening at Gill Aquatic Center. Watch for sign-up information and volunteer opportunities!
Finding Christ in the World Today
Everyone is welcome to come Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. to discuss how we can find Christ in today's world. The discussion begins in the undercroft with one or two short videos. You do not need to have attended previously to take part in the discussion, and you are welcome to bring your own snacks and beverages.
