Our church is active in many ministries, and our parishioners provide material, financial, and spiritual support for a variety of missions, including the following:

Project Homeless
Through this project, we help feed and suppport homeless people living on the streets of
Indianapolis. Ed Calton, our coordinator for this project, gathers volunteers to provide
biscuits and gravy or spaghetti to the homeless on Saturday afternoons. Volunteers are
welcome to come the church undercroft at 12 noon on Saturdays to help prepare the food
for distribution that afternoon. Their website: www.projecthomelessindy.org

Shared Blessings Food Pantry
This local food pantry, which located inside Danville United Methodist Church,
serves people throughout Hendricks County. Our annual Harvest Home Sunday
donations are given to Shared Blessings, and we also have an ongoing
collection of food items that are regularly delivered to the food pantry.

Operation Christmas Child
Each November, our church supports Operation Christmas Child, a project that reaches
children all over the world. Our parishioners donate shoeboxes filled with toys, candy,
toiletries, and other items. The shoeboxes are shipped to children in need throughout the
world. Their website: www.samaritanspurse.org

Heifer Project International
During the time of Lent, our parishioners support this amazing organization, which provides
life-sustaining animals to people in need around the world. These animal donations give
needy families a source of food, rather than just short-term relief. Families who receive
animals agree to give their animal's offspring to others in their community, making them equal
partners with Heifer in the fight to end world hunger. Their website: www.heifer.org

Our Local Community
During the Christmas holidays, and at other times of the year, we donate items to
those in our community who are mentally disabled, live in nursing homes, or are
having financial difficulties. Items we donate include toiletries, food,
toys, and

Sheltering Wings Center for Women
This shelter provides emergency housing in a supportive Christ-centered environment for women
and children suffering from physical, emotional, or sexual abuse. our parishioners provide items
necessary for those living in this home, such as baby needs, paper goods,
cleaning supplies, and groceries, and gift cards. We also support the residents
of a specific suite in the shelter with birthday and holiday cards and gifts.
